The National Flag Foundation of the People’s Republic of China (NFFPRC) was established in Hong Kong in December 2003 (Official Registry Records, p. 529) as a charitable, non-profit organization engaged in promoting flag etiquette education in China.
We are “the voice of flag etiquette education”. Our vision is to allow more Chinese people, groups, and organizations observe the flag; to make flag etiquette a part of daily life; to integrate educational resources of the flag etiquette; to advocate respect of national flag, anthem and national emblem among all people and countries, and to support the international peace through promoting the spirit of “SHWO, EXPERIENCE and SHARE”.
During the past years of development, the Foundation has sponsored major public service initiatives such as the global campaign “Flag Etiquette•China’s Year”, the First National Flag Movement, Survey of the National Flag Etiquette in Hong Kong, Events of presenting the national flag pin to provincial and municipal leaders, etc.
In the year of 2009, we are kicking off two large-scale projects: the World Flag Etiquette Expo and Golden League of Miss World Flag Etiquette.
Looking into the future, we hope that through our collective efforts the flag etiquette education will be spreading deep into society, ultimately causing patriotism to flourish.
The Presidium of NFFPRC is constituted in manner of invitation and recommendation. Its honorary title -- the President of the Presidium of the NFFPRC is awarded to the leaders of large-scale fund-raising organizations, overseas Chinese communities, youth groups, or entrepreneur and individual with social resources to promote the national flag etiquette education and culture.
